John Wooden and MLM Success – What Do They Have in Common?

If you don’t know who John Wooden is, he was the very famous basketball coach of the UCLA bruins. He coached the UCLA basketball team for 27 seasons and when retiring had an overall record of 885-203, which is amazing. But what does Coach Wooden have to do with YOUR MLM SUCCESS? Well I want to share that with you in this article and talk about why what he taught his players to be successful will also help you to be successful in your business.

There are some very basic principles that he taught his players and I believe that is one of the biggest reasons they were so successful. Coach Wooden grew up in Indiana with very little money and had to work very hard to get to where he ended up. One of the most important aspects of life that he stressed to his players was that hard work and dedication will take you anywhere in life.

One of my most favorite quotes from him is this, “It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.” In this world we sometimes miss all the little opportunities that are right before us. We get so caught up in our fast paced world that we FORGET to see who is right in front of us.

I have really seen this in my own life. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time on some social media sites lately like Facebook and Twitter without seeing what was really right in front of me. I was adding friends and building up a list but I wasn’t really creating “relationships”. In the MLM industry relationships are the absolute KEY to your success but if you get caught up in just “building the list” and not caring about who is on the list, then it won’t matter at all. So as Coach would say, take care of those little details and the big things will happen leading to your MLM success.

The other thing that I love about Coach Wooden is his understanding that making mistakes and learning from them can lead to great things. Here’s a quote, “If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything. I’m positive that a doer makes mistakes.”

You have to do something in order to make mistakes and if you aren’t doing anything well then it is going to be hard to succeed. It takes ACTION to create both success and failure but if you are afraid of failing you’ll NEVER see success.

So apply these three principles Coach taught his players…work hard, take of the little things and make mistakes…and I know you’ll see success in your life, business or for that matter to anything you apply these principles. I want to leave you with one more quote from Coach Wooden that in my mind really sums up what life is all about and really why I love the MLM industry so much and will give you the MLM success you dream of. Apply this and you will see immediate, life changing results.

“You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.”
